DID I LOOSE YOU?
_____
I am shedding memories
Like leaves in autumn
Did I loose you, in between my thoughts?
__
LONGING OF LIFE TIME
________
Small brush with feelings
Takes a long time to fade and dry
On the wet lips or in the memories of life
Takes a long time to fade and dry
On the wet lips or in the memories of life
__
THE LIFE AS IT IS
______________
An angel told me yesterday
To live
One has to die first
And I did
It’s all so wrong
Is this life?
Where thoughts corrode
Innerself
And mind takes over all Senses
And still finds no solace
Is this chaos – Life?
Of balancing two opposites
Of continuing to live in the past
Looking up to future
And never in present
Is this life?
Where all one does, is to pay for
Past – Karma as they call
While one does not even know
What is the balance?
How can I live, even in this life?
When
Whenever I ask the angels – to live
They let me die
Another death

Hi. I picked your blog up on twitter. While I found immense depth in the entire poem, both the first and last verses of the poem really touched me. Such truth. To live one has to die first.
ReplyDeleteThanks Catherine, this was fast... and I appreciate your words a lot.. I am still in the process of finishing this weeks edition, which will be up completely by tomorrow night with all the sections up and hope you will come back again to see it.
ReplyDeleteYes to really live, one has to die first... which basically means to release all your knots and negetivity and only carry the positive aspect of yours to live fully...

The last poem was an inspiration!Truly difficult to find balance in this life!
ReplyDeleteGreat post!
What a lovely poem. It speaks of truth and wisdom and of life through the transformation that death can bring.
ReplyDeleteThank you Sashi.
Thanks June I appreciate your words and yes I agree, its hard to find the balance, equanimity and as Lord Krishna said in Bhagawat Gita "Sambhav"

Dear Desert Rose,
ReplyDeleteThanks for liking these words and the wisdom that is portrayed in the verse "Life as it is" is from our ancient scriptures like Veda's and Purana's. I am just trying to relate it to my own life...
I appreciate your visit to the blog and hope to see you back soon.

Did I loose you, in between my thoughts? - this grabbed me and pulled me in, love it all.
Nice. I thought this last verse was especially powerful:
ReplyDelete"How can I live, even in this life?
When
Whenever I ask the angels – to live
They let me die
Another death"
Oh this hit home- brought tears to my eyes. It was last that struck me so deep.
ReplyDeleteI liked that about the angels letting you die another death.
ReplyDeleteOooh, I really like this one. I like all your work but this one has a certain appeal to it that I can't quite put my finger on. Love and Light, Sender

Love the paradox, and that is life--to live, one must die. Powerful words, leading to the potential of wisdom and insightful debate. Fine work!

Your last poem really struck me hard. I loved it! Especially the last verse where it wraps it up entirely. 'whenever i ask the angels to live, they let me die another death' Amazing!

Life As It Is has a great questioning build up for the last lines. Longing of Life Time I felt was artfully stated. Did i Lose You is a clever poem.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy your work and the mutual feedback, Shashi. Cheers

Wow! There is so much depth in this one!
ReplyDeleteSome eternal queries that will never be answered I guess...
I guess this is what they mean when they say, you die everyday.
Oh! Dear Shashi, this is amazing! I love "Did I Lose You?" and I really relate to "The Life as It Is". It's such a beautiful, accurate description of this frustration. I struggle with balance and wondering why I'm living in the future and the past more than the present as well.
ReplyDeleteI love the lines:
"Where thoughts corrode
Innerself"
Thank you so much for expressing this so beautifully!
Dear Mona
ReplyDeletethanks for liking this one. Yes there is one eternal question which has been asked for ages, in various philosophical thoughts and discussions.. what is life all about?
