Today, a sad day
indeed for the common people, who are feeling helpless and were looking forward
to a bigger fight along with the brave heart girl, who fought and fought...
Shame on all of us, if we let her fighting spirit die. Let’s all fight to bring
back the dignity that India has within, which it lost in a senseless act of
lust and drunken criminality of psychopaths...
Here is my
"Apology" to her spirit and my pledge not to let memory of her
fight, fade and keep the struggle going on till we regain the dignity of Delhi
and in turn of India.
AN APOLOGY TO
THE DELHI GANG RAPE VICTIM

You "The
Brave Heart"
We "The
People"
Hide behind
"The Cowards"
That every
time
We choose to
elect
The darkness of shame
But we will
not let you go
We will not
let you drift apart
From our
hearts
We will not
forget
And will never
forgive
The loss of
You "The Brave Heart"
Your fight
continues
On every
street corner
Within every
sensible heart
Within the
colours of tears
And pain
Your blood
will not dry in vain.
We 'The
People"
You "The
Brave Heart"
Will bury
"The cowards" before you.

Wow, that's a very well penned down poem !! Truly apt
ReplyDeleteShe has gone to place away from crimes... True one...
ReplyDeletewhat a sad situation may she rest in peace @artedoris
ReplyDeleteIt was a shameful act & deserves condemnation that it has attracted.
ReplyDeleteThe best of a man to offer in tribute to some one;
ReplyDelete,
"I’m Going Home"
Lord thank you for this life,
As I have lived a full life,
It was not always as I would have like,
But I lived it to the best of what I could,
I’m going home; Home to the place I want to be,
I’m going home to Jesus where He waits for me,
I have been a long weary believer,
As I’ve been away to long,
I now know what I’ve been searching for,
As He's been there in me all along,
I’m going home; Home is the place I want to be,
I’m going home to Jesus where He waits for me,
Now I yearn for familiar faces in familiar places,
I hear familiar voices calling me to come home,
I see familiar faces looking at me,
I’m going home; Home is the place I want to be,
I’m going home to Jesus where He waits for me,
My time is near, the hour I know not,
I have been and seen lots of places in life’s journey,
I see Jesus' face across the Heaven’s,
I hear His soft sweet voice calling me home,
I can’t wait for my real life to begin,
I’m going home; Home is the place I want to be,
I’m going home to Jesus where He waits for me.

such a poignant tribute to her spirit sir.. I have been following her fight for survival ever since I came across her story online. Such a woebegone state for such a young woman whose spirit is as strong as the term coined for her. Braveheart. Everyday I would browse for any development, that her fight for her life will improve despite the odds... For one so young and full of promise, her life was cut short by men and in an act inhuman. I cry for her... thinking it could have been me.. A victim in a cruel world where dominance sometimes is measured by one's sex... my prayers for braveheart and to her family who are as victims too.
ReplyDeleteYou have honored her life with such kindness Shashi... we mourn this violent, tragic, senseless rape and murder all around the world...our tears join the river of compassion with yours.
ReplyDeleteHeartwarming tribute, Shashi. Hope her death was not in vain. Lolapowers
ReplyDeleteI was right about the tears...yours is not a fight you have to fight alone. This is not a reflection upon your country...it is a reflection on our world and how very lost we have become. I have much trouble with this, imagining, goodness...power to your people and power to our world. She will be forever cemented in our history, your Brave One...and perhaps, as awful and tragic this was, the change her short life inspired will travel the globe. A brave and compassionate write...and yes...I need a box of tissues!
ReplyDeleteit is so sad what is happening in your country man...its a brutal thing...and so sad....why is it we let this happen? we are the same with our guns killing in a sense...why is it we let this happen?
ReplyDeleteSuch a tragedy, my heart aches for her family. So much violence in this world, when will it ever end? Your poem and your photo pay lovely homage and tribute to this young woman, so undeserving of such a crime.
ReplyDeleteA touching tribute to a terrible tragedy. I hope her death helps change the way things are. A beautiful write :)
ReplyDeleteI have read about her tragic death with much sorrow.
ReplyDeleteBut the fact that you, a man (like the others) are moved by this incident and will keep her memory alive gives me hope that women will be finally regarded with value and esteem ~
All the best ~
