I have been very busy for these few months on my work front as well as I was not in the proper frame of mind due to some personal tragedy, in recent times, to actually sit down and write some of my thoughts and Haiku. But then the Indiblogger event happened which reminded me that there is always some time to do things that you are passionate about so got me to write these Haiku and verses. So you see a lot of pent-up emotions are here to explode and now all those thoughts and feelings are rushing back to surface... hope you could relate to it all.
Pain leaves traces of what
It was; Love, what it would be
In drifting apart
___
Destiny is thread
Destiny is thread
That weaves the tapestry of
Life, in broken hearts
___
Love is clear mirror
Of soul; unveiled beyond dust of
Memories and lust
___
DEATH
_____________
Every sound of silence
In its solitude
Reverberates through
A whole life - unlived
All that a flower
Springs forth, in flowering,
Is the beauty of the fall.
Remember, a day soon will dawn
When even the memories
Will not stay behind
To mourn

excellent work sir...the haiku in particular are very deft...the first and the last of them are little jewels....the first comparing the love and pain and love as the mirror....very cool...good to see you...smiles.
ReplyDeleteDear Bijaylaxmi
ReplyDeleteThanks for liking these Haiku and relating to them so intimately. I am grateful and I appreciate your words..

Dear Brian
ReplyDeleteIt has always been a pleasure to read what you think about my words and every time I read your words, you pick out the core of my bleeding... and for that I respect you a lot. I look forward to your comments as I know that you will, all the time, as well as it makes me feel so comfortable that my words / Verse have not gone to waste.
Secondly, my friend please don't call me sir, we have been interacting from the One Stop Poetry and now on this dVerse over the years and I feel that I don't deserve this 'Sir' title atleast from you. You have been in many ways my guide and source of reflection in many of the verses that I have had written as I can blindly believe what you will say is true... I respect you a lot on your take on the words that people keep writing on the dVerse...
Thank you for liking my Haiku and considering them to be jewels. I am happy to hear that...

Your work really impresses me with its depth and beauty. I could comment on each really, but I will choose the last one. This one resonates a lot with me, expresses mourning as it is. Eventually people do move on after a death (as they should) and even the memories no longer grieve. I will be back again to read your work.
ReplyDeleteSashi, I'm so sorry for the difficult time you have been through, but loss and pain seems to lend an edge to your (all of our) writing. And, as a former hospice nurse, I've seen how healing it can be to allow grief to express itself in creative outlets. My prayers are with you and all who have been touched by this loss.
ReplyDeleteVery well crafted and so touching haikus, thanks for sharing :)
ReplyDeleteI loved that. A great tribute to the loss and the future. I am sorry for your hard times. Great pics.
